The buyer can be onboarded with the following legal form types:  Along with the mandatory fields, the following fields are required based on the legal form type: - **registered_company**: The buyer is a registered company, registration number and registrar name are required. - **freelancer**: The buyer is a freelancer, first name, last name, and birth date are required. - **partnership**: The buyer is a partnership, first name and last name are required. - **public_institution**: The buyer is a public institution, company name is required. - **registered_association**: The buyer is a registered association, company name is required.  The optional `registration_number` and `duns_number` fields help better identify the buyer.

Once the request is submitted, we would review the request and either approve or decline it.  Please contact support if you need this feature.

Use this if you need to recover the server-assigned `uuid` for a seller you only have an `external_reference_id` for.
- [Register a seller](https://docs.mondu.ai/reference/post_api-v1-sellers.md): Registers a new seller, or updates an existing one when a seller with the same `external_reference_id` already exists for the authenticated merchant. The upsert key is `external_reference_id`; it can be set on creation but cannot be changed afterwards.  Returns **201 Created** on insert and **200 OK** on update — distinguish by HTTP status code, not by response body shape.
- [Bulk register sellers](https://docs.mondu.ai/reference/post_api-v1-sellers-bulk.md): Registers up to 100 sellers in a single request. Each row is upserted by `external_reference_id`, with the same semantics as the single-seller endpoint: existing rows are updated, new rows are inserted.  The response always returns **200 OK** with a per-row `status` of `created`, `updated`, or `error`. Use `total_created`, `total_updated`, and `total_errors` for at-a-glance counts.  Validation is all-or-nothing for missing or malformed fields: if any row fails schema validation (required fields, format rules, etc.) the whole batch is rejected with **400** or **422**. Per-row `error` statuses are reserved for downstream persistence failures after schema validation has passed.  Validation error responses include the offending row index in the response keys (e.g. `sellers[3].company_address.address_line1`) so you can identify which row failed.
- [Get a seller by UUID](https://docs.mondu.ai/reference/get_api-v1-sellers-uuid.md): Returns a single seller by its server-assigned `uuid`. 404 is returned both when the UUID is unknown and when the seller belongs to a different merchant — we deliberately don't leak cross-tenant existence.
- [Update a seller by UUID](https://docs.mondu.ai/reference/put_api-v1-sellers-uuid.md): Updates an existing seller, addressed by its server-assigned `uuid`. Functionally equivalent to calling `POST /api/v1/sellers` with the same `external_reference_id` (which is the recommended path); this endpoint exists for cases where the integration prefers UUID-addressed updates.  The body cannot change `external_reference_id` — that field is the upsert key and is set on creation only. To rename a seller externally, register a new one and migrate orders to it.
